On 29th January 2021 Susanne Dirks hosted a Zoom coffee morning about continuous professional development. Thanks to all who turned up and shared your ideas. A number of people expressed interest in learning about machine translation and post editing and we will hold some workshops on these topics. Other ideas included new technologies for interpreting, subtitling, localisation, CAT tools and legal translation.

On 9th February Penelope Eades hosted a coffee morning where attendees could share their thoughts on working from home, discuss their personal experiences and share tips on how to cope with the extra challenges of home schooling for example and not being able to travel.
