Webinar on Audiovisual Translation: Don’t you just watch movies all day

Saturday, 20 February 2021, from 11 am to 1 pm, on Zoom

The webinar will be an informal introduction to all aspects of audiovisual translation, from workflows and training to freelance life and challenges within the industry. How is audiovisual translation different from other types of translation? How do you become an audiovisual translator? What kind of tools do you need to work with audiovisual content? What kind of content do you translate? Is it hard to find work? How much money can you make? How do various countries, markets and languages differ from each other? What rights and restrictions do you have? Is it true that you have unrivalled freedom? How has the pandemic affected the audiovisual translation industry? And what are the greatest challenges facing the industry in the future?

All of these questions will be discussed, and there will be plenty of time for questions from the audience as well.
