Réidín was a student on the MA Translation Studies with Dublin City University in 2009-2010. She also holds a BCL (Law with French Law) from University College Dublin, a Diploma in French Legal Studies from Université Paris Ouest, an LLM from Trinity College Dublin. Her career background is in governance, legal, risk and quality management in the public and private sectors. Réidín brings her translation and interpreting studies experience to her work in this field. She is currently Regional Head of Governance & Quality Assurance in a Technical Centre of Excellence in Dublin, working closely with colleagues in Frankfurt, reviewing multilingual documents and coordinating cross-cultural communication throughout the Europe Region on a daily basis, in virtual and in-person settings.
Réidín’s doctoral research was finalised in 2021 as a study of the impact and quality of court interpreting in multilingual court proceedings in Ireland’s Family Justice System. Since then, she has lectured in French Administrative Law in the School of Law at University College Dublin. She is interested in public interest law, and diversity, equality, and inclusion in all settings.
