James MacGuill

James MacGuill has been in practice as a solicitor since 1986.He practices in the field of public law including criminal defence. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2020. He has served as President of the Law Society of Ireland and of the CCBE (Council of Bars and Law Societies in Europe ). He is very concerned at the differential quality of justice experienced in Ireland by those not competent in either the Irish or English languages.
